I had such a great year and terrific brides to thank for making it possible! To each of you, I cannot thank you enough for the honor you gave me to photograph your weddings! I was privileged to photograph the wedding of Shannon & Michael this past weekend! It was a weekend-long celebration, as I first began my photography coverage with the couple at their welcome party for out of town guests at the Addison Lounge in the Rampart Casino. The full day of wedding photography began on Saturday, starting with formal portraits at the JW Marriott Las Vegas in Summerlin. We proceeded to St Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church for the ceremony. I found wonderful opportunities to capture my trademark documentary coverage of the couple, waiting for the ceremony to begin! After the beautiful ceremony, the wedding party jumped in their two limos and the guests were shuttled over to TPC Country Club at Summerlin in Las Vegas for the evening reception. Oversight of the evenings festivities were meticulously cared for by TPC’s Catering Manager, Kelei Hawkins. After some addional family & wedding party portraits overlooking the plush golf course and a few romantic portraits of the couple, the grand entrance was announced and the party took full flight, thanks to the very polished DJ services of Knight Sounds Entertainment. Catherine and Dean were such a fun couple to work and it was a pleasure to celebrate their big day with them! Catherine was so easy to photograph because she smiled the entire day! Their fabulous wedding took place in its entirety at the beautiful JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and was overseen by Julie Atkinson, who made sure the days events stayed on schedule. Catherine, herself, designed much of the details, from her own dress to the crystal backdrop for her alter to the guest seating display. Catherine’s decor and floral arrangements were provided by one of my new favorites in Las Vegas: Julie Reed Events, who pays attention to the details.
