I started out my wedding coverage with Maria and her bridesmaids at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Livonia, MI.  Maria is my kind of girl because not only was I given terrific getting ready moments to photograph, but she had the Michigan football game on the television!  I, too, am a huge U of M football fan, but when given a choice to photograph a beautiful bride or watch a football game, I’ll choose the bride every time! After leaving the hotel, we followed the limousine to Guardian Lutheran Church, in Dearborn, where the ceremony between Maria and Donnie took place.  Despite being restricted to the back of the church for photographs, both my second photographer, Mary Beth, and I were able to capture wonderful moments as the couple made their vows to one another.  The reception celebration followed at the serene Fox Hills Golf and Country Club.  DJ services were provided by the always professional Mike Staff Productions. Favorite highlights are shown below. I will have a beautiful slideshow of the wedding day posted on this blog in about a month or so.

Maureen and Eric’s wedding details can be found in last month’s blog entry.  Enjoy the highlight slide show below of this wonderful, emotion-filled wedding!

I met Rose and Sam about sixteen months before their wedding and have had the pleasure of getting to know them during this period of time. We were able to photograph their fantastic engagement party and a separate e-session in downtown Royal Oak. It was then that I met their lovable and precious dog Rocco. You can see him for yourself in some of the highlight photos below! It wouldn’t be right if Rocco didn’t get to give his beloved Rose a kiss before she walked the aisle!  The wedding ceremony took place at the Sweetest Heart of Mary Catholic Church in downtown Detroit. From the ceremony, we headed to Hart Plaza for some fun, romantic photos (check out the skate boarder shot – it’s a classic!). After spending some time downtown, we met the couple at Greenfield Village and followed them as they enjoyed a horse-drawn carriage ride. The grand finale for this wonderful couple took place at the beautifully decorated, Henry Ford Museum, where they celebrated their reception. This beautiful, and much anticipated wedding, was planned by the one and only, Carolyn Hefner of the China Closet. The day could not have been more perfect without Carolyn’s oversight! There was also an all-star cast of vendors to help make this day beyond spectacular:  Christina Dodge, the event coordinator of the Henry Ford Musuem, Ralph Bellisario of Bellisario Florist provided the floral arrangements and decor, Cartoleria, of Birmingham, provided the custom invitations and printing services, Michelle Bommarito designed the cake, the Simone Vitale Band provided the entertainment, Ryan Koral of Epic Motion had a staff of five filmmakers providing video coverage, and I had a staff of nine, including my Orange County, California partner, Michael Erdkamp of Memories By Michael Photography, who flew out to work as my second.  Enjoy just a few of the many highlights below.  Keep checking in on my blog for the fantastic wedding day highlight slide show.  It will be here in a few weeks.

I had the last minute fortune of booking Dana and Jeffrey this summer, partly because I was holding the date open to celebrate my birthday, and also because a friend of theirs was a mutual friend of one of my second photographers, Mary Beth. I am so happy that fate allowed me to participate in this beautiful September wedding at the always serene, Orchard Lake Country Club, where both the ceremony and reception were celebrated.  This happened to be my second visit to this venue this summer. It also marked the third wedding this summer that I was able to work with the excellent band, Newsmaker, led by the very talented drummer and singer, Perry Joseph, who always keeps the party on the dance floor.  Be sure to keep an eye on this blog for more highlights displayed in a slide show, near the middle of October.  In the mean time, enjoy some of my favorites below:
