Dayna and Michael’s exquisite wedding ceremony was at the historic St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in downtown Detroit and they celebrated their reception at the elegant Colony Club a few blocks away. The day started for me and my team with the bridal party getting ready at the very cool Motorcity Casino Hotel. With all the traffic in downtown Detroit that day, it made sense for me travel with the wedding party on their party bus capturing fun moments along the way. Between the ceremony and reception, we had a couple of hours to have some fun, making stops at Hart Plaza and the historic Fox Theater. Normally, I don’t photograph portraits as much as I did this day, but with the extra time, weather cooperating, and cool locations, we did a variety of different poses with the wedding party. We were able to be very creative and have some fun because Dayna and Michael’s friends were willing to do whatever it took to get great photos! You can see some of these highlights below. Make sure to check back here on my blog in about a month to see more highlights that will be shown in a slideshow.
