As of two weeks ago, I did not know Shawn and Andrea. I was contacted by them because they decided not to use their original photographer and were recommended to me by their videographer, Alex of Fifth and Main Productions. I am so grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to photograph my first wedding in Chicago, one of my most favorite cities in the world. Not only was Andrea a gorgeous bride and Shawn a terrific groom, but as a Chicago-based Art Director, he knew exactly what he needed to do to give his bride a wedding she will remember for the rest of her life! From hiring a chauffeur to drive Andrea to the church in a classic Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, to an exquisitely decorated church with beautiful floral arrangements stationed at every pew, to a fantastic group of friends making up their huge wedding party, to having their reception at the historic Palmer House Hilton Hotel in downtown Chicago and decorating it to the nines, to entertaining their guests with the terrific rat-pack crooner, Peter Oprisko, and his band. Shawn and Andrea were given wonderful support in making their wedding a success and keeping the day on schedule by their Day-Of Planner, Jean DeFrancesco, of Just Imagine Events. Because it’s impossible for me to be at two places at one time, David Ward, a Chicago-based photographer was a part of my team as my second shooter and my assistant during the evening. Enjoy the photos above and below. Be sure to check my blog here in about a month to see the entire highlight slideshow!
