06.27.09 – Leigh and Ryan’s Wedding – Detroit Golf Club
June 28, 2009
Leigh and Ryan’s beautiful and emotional wedding this past Saturday afternoon took place entirely at the historic Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan. Katie Gusell, Director of Banquets and Catering, did a masterful job of keeping the day organized and on schedule. The elegant decor in the dining room was provided by Emerald Cities Designs. Images Captured did a great job of emceeing the event and keeping the music playing throughout the evening. Favorite highlights are shown above and below. I will have a beautiful slideshow of the wedding day posted on this blog in about a month or so.

Lisa and Steven’s entire wedding was celebrated at the exquisite Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan. I have photographed many brides getting ready in the suites of this wonderful hotel as well as several receptions. This was the first wedding ceremony I have photographed in the Townsend, and it was beautiful, thanks in part to Rabbi Jason Miller, the officiant. Dena and Mallory from Party Pieces Events ensured that the full day of festivities stayed on schedule. Tony Mazzorana of A1 Video Professionals worked terrifically along side of me covering the video responsibilities. Making sure the guests had plenty of reason to stay on the dance floor, L’l USA kept the party hopping with great music throughout the evening. Terrific moments were all around as you can see from the photos above and below. Please check back here on my blog in about a month to see more highlights that will be shown in a slideshow.

As of two weeks ago, I did not know Shawn and Andrea. I was contacted by them because they decided not to use their original photographer and were recommended to me by their videographer, Alex of Fifth and Main Productions. I am so grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to photograph my first wedding in Chicago, one of my most favorite cities in the world. Not only was Andrea a gorgeous bride and Shawn a terrific groom, but as a Chicago-based Art Director, he knew exactly what he needed to do to give his bride a wedding she will remember for the rest of her life! From hiring a chauffeur to drive Andrea to the church in a classic Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, to an exquisitely decorated church with beautiful floral arrangements stationed at every pew, to a fantastic group of friends making up their huge wedding party, to having their reception at the historic Palmer House Hilton Hotel in downtown Chicago and decorating it to the nines, to entertaining their guests with the terrific rat-pack crooner, Peter Oprisko, and his band. Shawn and Andrea were given wonderful support in making their wedding a success and keeping the day on schedule by their Day-Of Planner, Jean DeFrancesco, of Just Imagine Events. Because it’s impossible for me to be at two places at one time, David Ward, a Chicago-based photographer was a part of my team as my second shooter and my assistant during the evening. Enjoy the photos above and below. Be sure to check my blog here in about a month to see the entire highlight slideshow!

I cannot express with adequate words how much fun Christa & Ryan’s wedding was this past weekend! I had an extremely difficult time narrowing down highlight photos to post on this blog! You can see from the the photos on display here how tremendously great this couple is and how wonderful their family and friends were as well! I love photographing weddings where there is all the ranges of emotions, excitement and details. This wedding had no shortage of any of those three! From having the ceremony at Detroit’s oldest church bulding, the beautiful Sts Peter and Paul Jesuit Church to the fabulously restored Westin Book Cadillac Hotel (also in downtown Detroit), to the beautiful decor of the dining room, to being entertained by arguably Detroit’s finest Simone Vitale Band. Enjoy my sneak peak below of highlights. Visit the blog in a few weeks to see the highlight slideshow for more!
